In this Act, unless there is anything repugnant in the subject or context

(a)"Government" means the State Government.

(b)"owner" in relation to any land or property, includes any person having an interest in such land or property:

(c)"prescribed" means prescribed by rules made under this Act;

(d)"tank" means an irrigation tank in the Andhra area of the State of Andhra Pradesh.
