(1.) The writ petition has been filed with the following prayers:-

(i) That the impugned letter dated 2.3.1998 issued by the respondents may be quashed and the respondents may be directed to regularize the services of the petitioner as Peon after completion of ten years of daily waged service. In the alternative, the respondents may be directed to grant the work charged status to the petitioner after completion of the ten years of daily wage service.

(ii) That the respondents may further be directed to grant all consequential benefits after his regularization of completion of ten years daily wage service or work charged status after rendering ten years service."

(2.) According to the petitioner, the issue is covered by Mool Raj Upadhayaya Vs. State of Himachal Pradesh 1994 Supp. (2) SCC 316. There will be a direction to the first respondent/competent authority to look into the matter and take appropriate action in accordance with law in the matter, adverting to the submissions made by the petitioner in the writ petition within four months from the date of production of the copy of this judgment alongwith the copy of the writ petition by the petitioner b
