Notwithstanding anything contained in the principal Act amended by this Act;

(a) the members of the Board constituted under the principal Act and of the Committee appointed by the Board who are holding office on the date of commencement of this Act, shall continue to hold their offices till the first meeting of the Board constituted under the Principal Act as amended by this Act, and shall cease to be such members with effect from the said meeting;

(b) the appropriate authorities shall, as soon as may be, after the commencement of this Act, take all steps for constitution of the Board in accordance with the provisions of the Principal Act as amended by this Act.
